“I absolutely loved this property! What a unique idea, to build 4 rooms above the marina's restaurant. The views from our room were amazing - even at night when the boats and docks were all lit up with lights. Just gorgeous. Very peaceful. Also the in room coffee was delicious - I could have sat there drinking coffee and looking out at the view all day! I will keep this place in mind for a future "getaway."”

“Nice fenced in yard for dogs, it just needed to be raked and mowed. James Divine was helpful and quick with responses to our questions. Thank you! Would stay here again if vacationing to the area again. ”

“The property was very clean. There are plenty of towels and the kitchen is very well stocked. If you need an appliance, it's probably in the kitchen. The yard was well kept as well. The only down side was that it isn't as close to the water as we had expected. You can see the river, but to get to it, you basically need to drive. And the confederate flag flying on the beach is a little disconcerting. It deterred me from going down there.”

“Nothing else,everything was excellent”

“Beautiful historic home and property with an amazing view of the James River.”

“Beautiful view”

“What a hidden gem of a place! A gorgeous river cottage overlooking the St James River. Grateful to be immersed in a natural rural atmosphere and also so close to many things to do both at the cottage and near Williamsburg. We swam, walked the beach, kayaked and fished! A magical sun rising over the StJames River takes one’s breathe away! I understand why people come back here. It’s a very special place. Reminds me of being on a lake which reminds me of my childhood! The Ferry is close, free...

“Staying at this rental house is like living in a dream come true. Everything inside is beautiful and yet fully functional for all ages, from children to the elderly. Our family has stayed there four times now, and we all love it so much! The house is always clean and fully ready for us. The host responds to questions quickly and kindly. We could not be happier with this rental house!”
